Many of us have had a pet at some point in our lives, but many who had them at our parents' house, now as adults, are faced with the desire to make a furry friend a part of our independent home. If this is your case, in this #BlogTuesday we give you 5 tips to get your head organized to embark on this journey:
1. Prepare for their arrival
Before your pet arrives home, make sure you have everything to make them feel comfortable and well-received: a bed, appropriate food, a collar and clothes to keep them warm, grooming items like cat litter or shampoo if needed, and you can even add a toy for them to have fun!
2. Take them to the vet
It is very important that your furry friend is regularly checked by a vet, especially upon their arrival, to know their initial health status, what food best suits them, and also to follow a vaccination plan to keep them healthy.
3. Feed them well
Nutrition is health. After their vet visit, it's important to feed your pet food that meets their needs, with good formulations, respecting daily portions and types of food (dry, wet, snacks).
4. You must be patient
Remember that when they first arrive home, your pet will be in a new place and won't know what to do or how to behave. It's important to accompany them and teach them with patience: where to eat, where to relieve themselves, how to interact with others, etc. Little by little, with love and by accompanying them, your pet will adopt learnings and habits.

It is important to give your pet affection and love every day: a pat before leaving, watching television together, or going for a walk when you go shopping nearby. This will help strengthen your relationship.
Having a pet entails great responsibility, but day by day it is these furry friends themselves who teach us how to make them happy and give us unique and unconditional love.
